Example Project: Work Preferences Survey

A large retailer undergoing litigation regarding the promotions and assignments of mangers to stores contracted us to perform a detailed two-part study. The first part entailed an assessment of optimal store assignments for assistant managers before becoming store managers. The second part involved extensive analysis of managers' perceptions of stores and their willingness to take on certain assignments (both in terms of specific locations and in terms of store characteristics).

The results of the analyses have been used to inform career development decisions and understand demographic differences. It has also been informative in describing the limitations the organization faces when rotating and reassigning managers.
